• 10.30 h  -  Practical 1: Identification of seaweeds (herbarium +books)
• 11.00 h  -  Coffee break
• 11.15 h  -  Lecture 2: The Irish Seaweed Industry: An Historical Overview
• 12.00 h  -  Practical 2: Product display and explanation
• 12.30 h  -  Lunch
• 13.30 h  -  Lecture 3: Cultivation of macroalgae in Ireland
• 14.15 h  -  Practical 3: Rope and farm demonstration  
• 15.00 h  -  Coffee break 
• 15.15 h  -  Lecture 4: Licence application and issues
• 16.00 h  -  Evaluation and programme for next day (visit seaweed farm)

DAY 2

• 9.30 h    -  Travel to Roaring Water ay Seaweed Coop to visit the farm
• 10.30 h  -  Checking long lines, harvesting, species identification, farm maintenance
